Halloween Treats Bound for Chicago

Halloween is fun for kids and I have fun preparing! We live on a dark cul-de-sac, so I reward those brave enough to venture all the way down the dark lane! The trick-or-treaters that knock on my door receive FULL sized candy bars! But for special people that I love, I like to make smaller treats that reflect my crafting skills! These four will end up in Chicago in time for those cute Goblins I know there.

These 3-1/2" by 3-1/2" squares of Vellum Card Stock were a snap to sew up! I began by sewing on three sides, then stuffing the Hershey Miniatures and squeezing the fourth side until it lay flat. After that last line of stitching, all that is left to do is decorate.

Washi Tape brings a great pattern to the vellum and then one of my Blog Candy pieces from this post finished off my special treat in no time!
My treat bags were inspired by a swap I received while at Convention in July. I did not get the Demonstrator's name, so I can't give her credit. Think of all the shapes you could sew into a pouch and all of the different "flat" treats you could give. Decorate for any holiday and make someone feel special!!

Remember, you only have until October 21st to sign up for the $25 Starter Kit! Try out being part of the Stampin' Up! family and the Stampin' Pretty Pals (my favorite part) for only $25! Without further obligation to buy or sell, you will be part of the group that is "in-the-know" through April 30, 2014! Check it out here.

What a neat, unique and fresh idea! You are so talented. Love your project and who would have thought to sew vellum. Goodness gracious girl. Brilliant! Thanks for sharing!
