Another week, another Pals Paper Arts Challenge! Wouldn't you LOVE to play along? I love the colors this week! Team 2 has all of their inspiration cards posted on the PPA Website to inspire YOU! Just make a card or project using this week's colors, upload your photo to the PPA site and you can join everyone else in celebrating this week's colors!
I love when cards come together easily like this one did. Trouble is, I made two other cards that I didn't like before I got to this one! There was a long break in between the first two cards and this one! I just couldn't get it together! For this card, I simply stamped my Magnificent Maple leaf all over Very Vanilla card stock. I used Baked Brown Sugar and Calypso Coral ink. Notice the leaves on the left side are darker? I stamped once on the left, then without re-inking, I stamped again on the right. I like how that turned out, even though I really didn't start out to do it that way. I stamped my sentiment from Sweet Essentials in Baked Brown Sugar in the lower right corner.
Next, I took my leafed paper and put it through the Big Shot in the Square Lattice Embossing Folder for some texture. I added Linen Thread twice around the card and tied it in a knot. I left long tails. I pushed my Antique Brad through the paper (it's easier when the embossing folder broke down the fibers a bit) and then I tied the long tails of linen thread into a bow. I backed my embossed piece with Baked Brown Sugar card stock and adhered that onto my Calypso Coral card base. DONE.
I hope you like this card and I hope you "leaf" your comments below :-)
