Velvet Valentine

I just love all of the textures on this card. This card began by using the simply luscious 1-1/4" Two-Tone ribbon (Spring Catalog) in Basic Gray/Basic Black. Oh my gosh this ribbon feels so wonderful!
I used a small piece of leftover (retired) Flocked Window Sheet from the Candlelight Christmas Specialty Designer Series Paper behind a Labels Collection Basic Black frame. I love how the Island Indigo looks behind the Real Red flocking!

Here is a close up of the ribbon and the sentiment. This is one of my very favorite cards. I got the idea for the ribbon because Stampin' Up's MDS program recently put out this ribbon in it's program and they have it tied like this as well as other ways! Even if you have a hard time tying a bow, you can make this two-piece beauty easily!

Thanks for looking! Please leave your comments below--I love to read each and every one! You have all been so sweet!

Wow...the "flocked sheet" is gorgeous. That is sad that it is retired. I never saw anything like it before. Very interesting. I totally love the bow and I'm sure that I could master making one. It is really cute. And, I love when some one talks about the feel of something. That's what I love about all different kinds of paper. The color, texture, design and the "feel" of it. I always wonder when seeing things how they would feel to the touch. Thank you so much for sharing! Oh, and I love the label frames and the colors.

Wow, Patti! This is stunning! I would have never thought about using the flocked paper...or making my bow this way! You are so talented!
