Blog Candy, New Digs for the Pals Paper Arts AND...Spring Sneak Peek!

Happy New Year everyone! I'm starting the year off by offering a partial pack of Festival of Prints Designer Series Paper Stack. There are over 30 full sheets and I will also include all of my scraps, PLUS a surprise, too! These prints are not just for Christmas!! The stack was originally 48 sheets.

All you need to do to be entered to win (by random drawing) is comment ONCE, on THIS POST. Tell me how you said goodbye to 2012 and/or how you welcomed in 2013! (One post per person, US addresses only!)

Comment below by January 3, 2013 to be eligible. Winner will be announced on my blog January 4th and will have until January 6th to email me their physical address so I can mail their prize. Good luck!!

The Pals Paper Arts Team is proud to announce that we've given our blog and badge a refresh for 2013! We hope you will make a New Year's Resolution to play along with us twice per month. It's fun to challenge your creativity in new ways. Let us know what you think of our re-vamp by commenting on our blog page.

I have been itching to get into my card studio, but there has been zero time! I spent 12/31 putting away Christmas (4.5 hours!) Then ran to the post office to mail off Spring Catalogs and Sale-A-Bration brochures to my favorite customers!

After lunch I was able to start creating. There are so many ideas in my head, but so little time. Here is a peek at a *NEW* Designer Series Paper Stack, called "Print Poetry." (Available January 3, 2013) The colors in this pack are awesome: Crumb Cake, Gumball Green, Midnight Muse, Primrose Petals, Raspberry Ripple, Summer Starfruit and Very Vanilla.

  • This quick and easy card began with a Crumb Cake base. Then a Very Vanilla matt, cut 4" x 5.25".
  • Next, the piece of Designer Series Paper from Print Poetry, cut to 3.75" x 5".
  • My sentiment is a Single Stamp from Perfectly Penned, inked in Midnight Muse and punched out with the Decorative Label Punch. I ran a piece of Midnight Muse 3/8" Stitched Satin ribbon under the sentiment and over a rectangle of Vintage Wallpaper embossed Crumb Cake card stock.
  • I anchored the ribbon on the left side with a Designer Slide.

I hope you enjoyed looking at my Get Well card and that you will leave your comment about your New Year's Eve below so you can be entered to win my paper stack.

For New Year's Eve, my husband and I went out to an early dinner at our favorite restaurant, then snuggled up in our jammies with hot drinks and popcorn for a movie. I will be spending New Year's Day in my jammies all morning, and then my husband and I will be taking a bike ride with the new wheels that Santa brought us! Happy New Year!!

Get Well Card Supplies:
Card Stock: Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla
Designer Series Paper: Print Poetry
Stamps: Single "Get Well" from Perfectly Penned
Ink: Midnight Muse
Big Shot: Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder
Embellishments: 3/8" Midnight Muse Stitched Satin Ribbon, Designer Slide
Adhesives: Snail, Sticky Strip, Stampin' Dimensionals

My husband and I spent the evening with another couple playing cards and stuffing ourselves silly with all the good food she and I had made. Toasted the New Year with a glass of wine. (our once a year glass!)

Happy New Year! We usually stay home for a relaxing evening, watching football, then the ball drop at midnight. We fix a nice dinner, and step outside to see the neighbor's fireworks.

Love your site. Spent the evening quietly, we are battling the flu bug. Great time to just think and be thankful.

We spent the evening as a family playing wii sports games, rockin' out to music, then around 11pm, we turned on Dick Clark's New Years Eve show and watched the ball drop! It was a blast!

We had a special fun church service at our church with a chili supper afterwards. I brought the New Year in getting ready for bed and listening to fireworks.

Happy New Year! Our daughter's birthday is Jan. 1 so all her friends had to call at midnight to wish her Happy Birthday - problem was my husband and I were already asleep! We typically have a low key New Year's Eve and a party on Jan. 1.
