PPA57 Sketch Challenge

This week's challenge is a sketch by Margaret Moody. She is fantastic at putting together our sketches! Take this any direction you wish, using any products you like. I can't wait to see what our followers come up with! Play with us at Pals Paper Arts!

I used the plaid from the Designer Series paper Pawsitively Prints II because it reminded me of school uniforms, and school is about to begin for many within the next week, if it hasn't already. Back in my day, we always had plaid skirts and I've seen a lot of plaid lately in the stores for their Back-To-School sales.

I hope you enjoy looking, thanks for stopping by and please do leave your comments--I love to read them all!

Card Basics:
Card Stock: Sahara Sand (base), Poppy Parade, Tempting Turquoise, So Saffron, Pear Pizzazz, Whisper White
Designer Paper: Pawsitively Prints II
Stamps: Sentiment: Fundamental Phrases, Fast & Fun Notes
Ink: Poppy Parade (on Whisper White), Real Red (on So Saffron)

MOJO Monday 99

Good Monday to you! In my head, I'm hearing that like Julia Child would say it, since I saw "Julie and Julia" TWICE this weekend! Yes, it's that good! I got my Mojo on early today! If you'd like to play, please visit the Mojo Monday blog and try it out--it's fun.
Razzleberry Lemonade paper got me started and I chose the colors Rich Razzleberry, Blush Blossom and Certainly Celery. I stamped with Rich Razzleberry and then colored with my Stampin' Write Markers in Certainly Celery and Blush Blossom. I used my Stampin' Write marker to color the white flowers on the Rich Razzleberry piece of designer paper. For my Certainly Celery piece behind the main panel, I chose to stamp the star from the image in Rich Razzleberry. I love making my "own" designer paper this way! When I put it all together, I thought it still needed something, so I used my marker one more time to dot the edges.

Ingredients:
Cardstock: Textured Rich Razzleberry, Certainly Celery, Whisper White, Blush Blossom
Designer Series Paper: Razzleberry Lemonade
Stamps: Fast & Fun Notes
Ink: Rich Razzleberry
Accessories: 1 1/2" Circle Punch, Rich Razzleberry dotted grossgrain ribbon, Stampin' Write Markers

If you need anything from Stampin' Up, please do not hesitate to order with me 24/7!

Put On Your Sunglasses-This is Bright!

I used the sketch from Our Creative Corner to plan this card. Also, my demonstrator group, Pretty Pals added a twist, with an inspiration from a Pottery Barn child's bedding ensemble for our colors. It was bright and cheery, if you can't guess! Also, there were owls on the bedspread, but I don't own any owl stamps. I substituted this cute guy from Fun & Fast Notes and that is where my creation began. I used two different Designer Papers, the Kiwi Kiss from Raspberry Tart, and two prints (Summer Sun and Tempting Turquoise) from Pink Flamingo DP.
I just placed my order, buying three Designer Series Paper Packs and earning one free! I can't wait to show you some different papers in the months to come. These paper packs are a good bargain in the first place, with 12 double-sided sheets (6 of each design) in a 12 x 12 size. They are excellent quality and they work for cards or scrapbooking. As you can see, you can mix and match the patterns and colors and come up with one-of-a-kind creations. If you would like to purchase your papers, please order with me today, this special is only good for the month of May.

Mojo Monday 84

Good Monday morning to you!  I hope your weekend was fantastic.  I had a lot of time to stamp and I'm ready for the week ahead.  I made this card for the Mojo Monday sketch challenge.  It's so fun to play along and having a sketch is definitely helpful in stretching my creativity.  I used a new stamp set that I got with my Stampin' Up starter kit, called Fun & Fast Notes.  It is a very versatile set because it has lots of different sentiments so you are able to make many different types of cards.  The drawings are fun, too.  I combined it with the butterfly from Great Friend to polish off the card.  The designer papers are from the Delicate Dots set.  If you'd like to add any of these items or any Stampin' Up products to your collection, please visit my website where you can order 24/7.  Just CLICK HERE.
And, don't forget I still have a few stamp sets for sale.  You can see them here.
