Celebrate with Cakes--Cupcakes!

This is a sweet card! I love coloring this stack of delicious cupcakes for a birthday card. I made the panel on the left by layering Blush Blossom cardstock onto Pretty In Pink cardstock. The sentiment is from Birthday Bliss and I stamped it this-way-and-that using Regal Rose ink. The cupcake stand is stamped onto the Whisper White card with Basic Black ink. I colored it using my Blender pen and Rose Red, Regal Rose and Blush Blossom ink puddles. What are ink puddles? When the pad is closed, squish the top onto the pad. When you open it, there is a little puddle that is perfect to dip your blender pen into and water color. Try it! If you use a Stampin' Write marker, the color is much darker, so this gives you more control over how dark you want the colors to be.

Ingredients:
Cardstock: Whisper White, Pretty in Pink, Blush Blossom
Stamps: Birthday Bliss, Birthday Whimsy
Ink: Basic Black, Regal Rose
Accessories: Blender Pen

Punchy

Our Creative Corner posted a challenge to use Border Punches on your creation. I have been saving an idea I saw SOMEwhere (sorry it escapes me) to cut your border punched paper into strips. Here, I let the small strip peek out with a heart from the side.
Recipe:
Paper: Razzleberry Lemonade Designer Series Paper, Whisper White, Dusty Durango, textured Crushed Curry
Stamps: Sentiment from Birthday Whimsy, Heart from Mark the Date
Ink: Dusty Durango
Accessories: Crushed Curry Polka Dot Ribbon, Eyelet Border Punch, Modern Label Punch

Available July 1st: Modern Label Punch, Razzleberry Designer Series Paper, Crushed Curry and Dusty Durango cardstock.

Darling Dots

More playing with my new stamps. I used an image from Scene in a Garden (available from the Mini Catalog only until June 30th) and colored it with my new Stampin' Write Markers in the In Colors Crushed Curry, Bermuda Bay and Soft Suede. I am so happy that Stampin' Up included Stampin' Write Markers in the In Colors this time around! I used a piece of paper from Urban Oasis Designer Paper for my background and I stamped the leaf image from the hostess set Darling Dots. This set has 8 stamps and is sooooo cute! You will see more of those images in the coming weeks, trust me. I cut out a space for my sentiment from the Birthday Wishes set with my brand new Modern Label punch, then added little dots on the outside of those edges to match the dots on my leaf stamp. I think this card would be appropriate for a guy or a gal for their birthday.
I love how Stampin' Up always makes sure that you can use their newest products with some of your old favorites!
