It Feels Like Fall and a FLASH SHALE!

Ink Color Palette: Golden Glow, Pumpkin Pie, Pecan Pie, Cajun Craze

Today’s card was inspired by Tammy C. Wilson. I used her color palette and technique for watercoloring the GORGEOUS leaves from Elegant Leaves.

First use the solid image and dot on colors from the ink pads with a Sponge Dauber. Spritz the image and then stamp onto Water Color paper.

Use the outline stamp with a dark color and stamp over the solid leaves. Color in the leaves and background with a light color of ink and a Water Painter Pen.

Let it dry between steps.

Use a Golden Glow Shimmer Brush on just the leaves for a subtle sparkle .

Lastly, use your Stampin’ Blends brush end and cap to “splash” those dots all over. If desired, you can distress the edges of the Water Color Paper using the open blades on a pair of scissors.

Once you get the steps down, you can really do it quickly. I chose to do the large leaves for a beginning project, but using the small and medium leaves from the set also looks lovely.
