Be Mine Valentine Alternatives

January's Paper Pumpkin kit is called "Be Mine Valentine." It's intended to be 24 pillow boxes you can fill with treats and decorate using the enclosed stamp set and cut outs. Here I used the cut outs and those cute enamel hearts to decorate my Valentine Jelly Belly beans. I added my own Calypso Coral bow. I love all the bright colors together!

I didn't want to make pillow boxes this year, so I took the boxes (they arrive flat in the it) and cut off the curved ends and made a card front background. Then I added the cute kangaroo holding a heart. Again I chose bright Granny Apple Green Organdy ribbon, which I earned *free* from the Sale-A-Bration brochure with my $50 purchase.

My Core Group at Bible study are the lucky recipients of these sweet treats with colorful characters!

I hope you enjoyed my projects today. Please leave me a comment - I love to read them all!

Meant to Be All My Love

I added my own tiny Flirty Flamingo hearts leftover from the heart die cut on the bottom

This card was created because I saw Barb Kapla's card. I changed the ribbon and the white piece that the sentiment is on. She may have used Real Red for her matt and solid heart, it's hard to tell colors on the internet. I also added the pearls on the gorgeous lace heart in Flirty Flamingo.

Here I added the half flower on the sentiment piece
I've been loving using up my Lovely Lipstick card stock because it is one of the coordinating colors in the All My Love Designer Series Paper that I chose to make my Valentines with.

I hope you enjoyed looking today! Please leave a comment before you go--I love reading them all.

Valentine's Day or Just Sharing Love

Valentine's Day is around the corner, however I like to use my stamps as much as possible, so this "sending love" card could be used for many more reasons than just Valentine's Day.
This card started out because I had those four Crumb Cake cut outs from:

this card sitting on my desk all week. I decided to make a card using those as little frames for "something" and those little hearts popped out at me from the Sealed With Love stamp set. I used Watermelon Wonder to stamp my images and then I used Flirty Flamingo accents on my card front.

I'd love to know what you think, so please leave me a comment.

Follow My Heart Valentine

Happy Friday! I received my Occasions Catalog products late on Wednesday and will be playing with them today. I'm sure I will come up with a project for tomorrow's post, so please do come back and visit me then.

Today I have another Valentine Card. I know I'll need a lot of these for those I love and my favorite color combo so far is Cherry Cobbler and Basic Black. I added Smoky Slate and Whisper White along with the Very Vanilla card base on this one.

I really "love" ;-) this sentiment from the Follow My Heart stamp set. The set is not in a catalog, but you can purchase it here.

Here you can see all of the stamps in Follow My Heart. It's a very versatile set and I'm sure I will use it often. That key banner is easily punched out with the Banner Punch you can earn *free* during Sale-A-Bration, which begins January 28th.

Know that I treasure you comments! Please leave them below. If you have any questions, please email me, I'd love to answer them!

PPA187 Color Challenge Changed Up A Bit

Pals Paper Arts Team 2 is on duty this week with a Color Challenge! I decided to play along-- you can, too! I changed out the Real Red for Cherry Cobbler to accommodate my embossing powder. Challenges are meant to be a starting place, so feel free to substitute as necessary, or as you feel the need.

The card base is Whisper White with a layer of Soft Sky card stock. Next I added a piece of Cherry Cobbler that was embossed with the Snowburst Embossing Folder (retired). I tied a Soft Sky Seam Binding ribbon around the embossed piece horizontally before adhering it to the Soft Sky.

On top of the ribbon, I added three hearts. The Largest Heart was Full Heart-punched from Whisper White card stock which was stamped with a Delicate Doilies image in Soft Sky ink. I matted it with the large scalloped heart from the Hearts a Flutter Framelits using Soft Sky card stock. Next, a heart die cut from Whisper White with a different Cherry Cobbler Delicate Doilies image using a Hearts a Flutter framelit. Lastly, a Small Heart punched out from Soft Sky and embellished with a Basic Rhinestone. All three hearts were popped up using Stampin' Dimensionals.

Under the ribbon, I added four "tickets" from the That's the Ticket stamp set. Two Whisper White tickets were inked with VersaMark and heat embossed with Cherry Cobbler powder. A third Whisper White ticket was inked with Soft Sky Ink. The Soft Sky ticket was inked with VersaMark and heat embossed with White Embossing powder.

I love all of the textures on this card! So much to touch and feel on this very special Valentine. I adore the Soft Sky/Cherry Cobbler colors together!

I hope you are inspired today to make your own creation, whether it be a card, a scrapbook page or a tag. Use what you have and be creative!! I'll eagerly look for your comments!
