Sprinkly Birthday Card

I am so happy that Sprinkles of Life is carrying over another year in the Annual Catalog at Stampin' Up! What a fun and versatile set. I love the pairing here with this print from Affectionately Yours Designer Series Paper. The print is small, just like the tree and the flowers seem to be raining from the sky!

I was able to make a hill for my tree to sit on, by cutting the printed paper and placing it on the Crumb Cake base. My Happy Birthday sentiment was stamped and cut out using the Classic Label punch, but then I shortened it by snipping one side like the other with my Paper Snips. It perfectly fit onto the stitched Mint Macaron oval. I will miss Mint Macaron when it retires on June 1st!

I'd love to read your comments, so I hope you take a moment to leave me one.

1st Birthday for PPA306

Mary Fish's sketch for Pals Paper Arts 306

I made this card for our grandson's first birthday. He and our granddaughter are two years and two days apart and they are having an ice cream birthday party on Sunday. (You will check back to see her "3rd birthday" card and how I incorporated the ice cream theme into it).

The new In Colors are growing on me! Here I used Peekaboo Peach and I think it looks like a sorbet. What flavor would it be??? I also thought that using Pool Party for a scoop looked like fun--perhaps Bubble Gum flavored ice cream? And the Pear Pizzazz scoop has got to be Pistachio, right? And look at those yummy Peekaboo Peach Enamel shapes I accented with!

Thanks for looking! I love that you stopped by. Won't you leave me a comment? I would love to know what your favorite ice cream/sorbet is and what Stampin' Up! color it would be!

Spread the Love for PPA254

As I wait for my newest Stampin' Up! items to arrive (2015-2016 Annual Catalog went live June 2nd), I am playing with the only stamp set that I got during the preview period -- Sprinkles of Life.  There is something to be said for only ordering ONE set in preview, which is I have already used it more than I sometimes use any stamp set!

Pals Paper Arts Challenge this week was color, and seeing that the Strawberry Slush is officially retired, I was instead inspired to use the brand new Watermelon Wonder. It's a good match to So Saffron and Soft Suede, I found.

I decided to use the floral arrangement stamp from the Sprinkles of Life as the tree foliage. I colored the flowers using Stampin' Write Markers in So Saffron, Watermelon Wonder, Soft Suede and Cucumber Crush. My teeny bird was stamped in So Saffron onto So Saffron card stock and punched out perfectly using the Tree Builder punch.

I hope you found lots of things to add to your Wish List from the new catalog! When you are ready to order, please use my Online Store.

With or Without? What do YOU think?

Here is a very simple card made with the Sprinkles of Life stamp set which you can purchase beginning June 2nd. Which way do you like the card best--WITH or WITHOUT the raindrop trails done in White Signo Pen?

Please vote! I would love to hear what you think. Thanks for looking! Have a great day!
