Treat Boxes for Christmas

My last workshop, the ladies loved making these treat boxes. Hershey Nuggets fit perfectly, or as we discussed, a nice lip gloss would fit, too!

The ladies at the workshop enjoyed using their own imaginations to make unique boxes for giving. What really made it easy is the Festival of Prints Designer Series Paper Stack (126904 $6.95) in the Holiday Catalog. See page 20. The stack is 48 sheets: 4 ea. of 12 double-sided designs. Most of the are traditional Christmas colors, but not all of them. They are a convenient (for A2 cards) 4-1/2" x 6-1/2" size.

Our trees were stamped from the Pennant Parade stamp set, and two or three images were scored vertically down the middle, then folded and adhered together for the 3-D effect. The "star" on top is one of the teeny images from the same stamp set. The "fences" are Scallop Border Punch (Lucky Limeade) or Finishing Touches Edgelits (Cherry Cobbler). The sentiment is from the Perfect Punches stamp set.

You can find instructions for the box here.

Please enjoy looking and creating your own treat boxes! For ordering, please use my Website.

Feather Birthday Card

Hello! Today's card is based on a card I saw here. I needed a card in someone's favorite colors, yellow and gray. This is a masculine card, so I didn't want frills.

I used my Scallop Border punch for this "shelf" punched from Sahara Sand card stock. I inked the "celebrate" from Fabulous Phrases in Basic Gray. I tied a knot with Linen Thread onto a Mini Library Clip.

To anchor my feathers, I offset a rectangle of Beau Chateau designer series paper. I punched my Basic Gray and So Saffron card stock "feathers" with the Blossom Petals Builder Punch. I scored them down the middle lengthwise, using my Simply Scored. Then I used Paper Snips to feather the petals so they look like a feather. I used my Basic Gray Stampin' Write Marker and the Color Spritzer Tool to splatter on some color.

I hope you like this card and that you will leave your kind comments for me to read.
