Preview and MDS Tags

Tomorrow's PPA Challenge invites YOU to play along! We will be showing what the Design Team came up with from our inspiration. You can use your own materials and then upload your creation for our challenge.

I wanted to show you the niftiest thing I discovered this gift-giving season! I created this tag using My Digital Studio. It took me 10 minutes! Then I ordered up 26 identical tags for 26 special and identical gifts for family and close friends. All I need to do is add a ribbon to tie my tag onto each box.

You can see the back of each tag, too--I decided to make them look a little "professional." My tags were printed on quality card stock, arrived nicely packaged and in a few days!

I'd love to hear what you think of my tags! Please leave your comments below.

Sale-A-Bration and My Digital Studio Updates!

I'm very excited to share my very first My Digital Studio scrapbook pages! I have played with the MDS program here and there, but never really competed a whole project with it. Here, you will see that my pages are complete. I had so much fun. Wanna know how I did it? I took a lesson from my friends Jan and Wendy. You can find the details on Jan's website.

My page is about a trip we made to Hawai'i to see my daughter and her husband. We carved out some mother/daughter time and I had a few photos to use in the layout. Now I'll be excited to update my MDS with all of the new Designer papers and some new Brush Sets. You can see this week's updates here.

Also, today is exciting because it's SALE-A-BRATION time at Stampin' Up! Today through March 31, 2012 customers will earn a free Sale-A-Bration gift for each ad every $50 spent on Stampin' Up! products including the Clearance Rack items!

Baby Boy Congrats

Today I am very excited to show you what I've been doing for the past day or so! I learned how to make a Tri-Shutter Album from Andrea Walford at Christmas time. I purchased her kit and have the full instructions. After Christmas, I decided that I could really make this album into any theme that I wanted. Using my leftover Delicate Dots Designer paper from last year, I made this Boy Baby Album! I am thrilled with how it turned out!

Here is the front of the album.

Of course I made a matching card, too! I got my inspiration for this card from Kit Marie at Splitcoast Stampers.

Album open. Fully opened center.

Another exciting thing about this album is--I DON'T OWN ANY BABY STAMPS!! BUT, I am a new My Digital Studio Owner. Okay, I'm not a new owner, I got my copy months ago, but after I completed the training to be MDS certified, I never opened the program again until yesterday! I found the images I wanted, printed them off on my computer (onto Whisper White card stock) in the colors and sizes I wanted, cut or punched them out, and voila! I "have" the stamps! Plus, now that I have the document with all of the images, I can use them over and over to make more albums. I can change the color or size as I wish. These images all came WITH MDS, as I have not downloaded any *new* images, papers, etc. I am so hooked on this, now! I still like my 3-D cards and albums, but this really adds to it. I now am thinking of trying to print out album pages using the background papers and stamps, then added my photos and embellishments on top (the old-fashioned way) to get the look and feel that I love for scrapbooking! Stay tuned!
