Creative Crew Holiday Focus-National Cake Day!

My third Creative Crew card is a holiday focus. Did you know that it's National Cake Day on November 26th? Well, don't fret because you still have a lot of time to get ready by making a card, making a cake and then eating it just before Thanksgiving!!

I was inspired by a Black and White wedding cake in the gallery. I can always use Anniversary Cards. Won't you play along? Check out what the other Crew members created: CCREW1113HF.

I'd love to read your comments and have you answer this question: What was your favorite Wedding Anniversary memory?

Mine was our first back in 1981. My husband whisked me away to Palm Springs, about a 90 minute drive from home. I had never been there, so I had no idea where we were going. We had lovely warm Spring weather. He golfed, I sunned by the pool. We took the gondola up to the top of Mt. San Jacinto and there was snow up there! We tried to eat the freezer-burned cake top from our wedding. It was pretty bad, but we at least we had a nice champagne to wash it down. It was so romantic!

As usual, you can shop my Online Store when you need Stampin' Up! products.

Feel Better Soon for PPA177

It's time for Pals Paper Arts Challenge! I could always use a Get Well card, so I took this week's sketch to help me get one finished.

First I stamped my own designer paper by using two images from Mosaic Madness dipped in Cajun Craze and Crushed Curry. My sentiment was set on a flag (from hostess set Express Yourself) in Cherry Cobbler. I used another image from Mosaic Madness underneath it and it's stamped in Cajun Craze and colored in with a Crushed Curry Stampin' Write Marker. I added a Cherry Cobbler border to both the flag and designed card stock. My card base is Crushed Curry for a cheery look to this Get Well greeting.

I hope you enjoyed looking and that you will create a card using the sketch above. Why not upload it to the PPA site and play along? You may be chosen as a PPA pick for the week! Good luck!

Please leave your comments, I love to read them all!!
