New Studio Tour!

Welcome to my studio tour! I'm glad you came today. As you enter my craft studio, this is the new view. It used to look like this:

I was using our kids' empty "Baseball" bedroom and I didn't have adequate surface area to really be able to create effectively.

Now I have a high counter where I can stand, or use a drafting chair if I'm there for awhile. (All of my chairs are on order from Overstock.com) In the under cabinets I have four pull out shelves that house my extra Big Shot and dies, my Brother Scan and Cut (plug inside the cabinet), Embossing supplies, Simply Scored, Envelope Punch Board and extra Stampin' Trimmers. Top cabinets store cards, envelopes, embellishments and other small tools in plastic drawers I can pull out. The drawer in the middle has all of my ribbon and under that is my trash can so I can sweep my cuttings right into it!

Before I had a little table to use as my workspace! Very cramped, although I managed. The bunk beds used to be in this spot. My light box is now inside the closet.

The counter on the left rolls to the middle of the room so I can use the entire area and walk around it. It also will enable me to have a few friends in my craft studio where everything is at hand.

My new paper storage from Stamp N Storage is a dream! I will be adding some more modules soon.

This looks so sad to me now! This is how I've stored my 8-1/2" x 11" card stock forever. It's so much easier now.

All of my stamps are on the open shelves to the left of the rolling cabinet. My Paper Pumpkin and other kits are stored behind the doors under the stamp sets. The rolling cabinet houses all the things I need for my Workshops such as extra scissors, adhesives, display holders for my samples and the grid paper. It also keeps my catalogs and order forms handy. The side door has all of my clear bags and gift boxes.

Here is how the rolling cart will be used in the middle of the room. I ordered white metal stacking stools with square tops to sit at either end. I hope they are just right when they arrive. This cart has already been used to cut out sewing patterns. It's SO nice!

HUGE THANKS to my husband, who designed all of my custom cabinets! They are laminated plastic with Corian counters. My floor is wooden plank. My husband's shop built and installed everything. My chandelier is from Wayfair.com

Thanks for coming along on my tour! I hope you got some ideas for your own space as you looked at my before and after photos. Please leave me a comment so I know you were here!
