I started this card by choosing the stamp set Build a Birthday. I haven't had a chance to use it much yet. I chose the colors for my cake layers and plate: Watermelon Wonder, Elegant Eggplant, Island Indigo, Crushed Curry.
After choosing stamp set and ink colors, it was a "piece of cake!" to finish my card. The sentiment "birthday wishes" is stamped in Basic Gray. I used an Elegant Eggplant Stampin' Write Marker to outline the scallops on the cake plate. I added a line of Basic Rhinestones to the plate edge as well just for fun!
