Online Extravaganza is LIVE and I'm CASEing Global Design Project

(See details at the end of the post)

Today I am participating in "Case the Designer" at Global Design Project. It's my first time there! Brian King is the designer we are invited to CASE, and I was inspired by his card, which you can find at Global Design Project blog.

I took a brief look at Brian's card and tried to remember some elements from it that would inspire my own design. Brian's card had a blue color, snowflakes and it was playful. So...

I chose Mint Macaron instead of a blue. I used the snowflake image in Mint Macaroon from the (retired) Endless Wishes stamp set to make my own background paper. I used two retired elements from 2014 kits: the sled and the wooden snowflake. "jolly" was my playful match to Brian's card, and I used the current Christmas Greetings Thinlits dies and Silver Glimmer Paper. I dotted the "j" with two glimmery stamens from the Festive Flower Builder Punch. For just a little more bling, added a Basic Rhinestone to the center. "Holidays" was stamped in Mint Macaron from the (retired) Watercolor Winter Too stamp set from 2014.

I hope you enjoyed looking at my card! Maybe you are inspired to join Global Design Project and design a card after seeing Brian's!

Patti - I love the choice to use Mint Macaron. What a difference. I love the snowflakes, too, but I MOSTLY LOVE the red sled. It's a perfect pop of WOW against this backdrop. I'm so glad that you played along with my CASE the Designer challenge this week at the Global Design Project. There's a first time for everything - hope you'll come back. :) Thanks!
