Happy Valentine's Day

Happy Valentine's Day. I've come to believe that instead of focusing on me getting anything, I love to surprise others with gifts of love. I took flowers to a neighbor that lives alone yesterday. She was surprised! Such a simple act, but it brightened her day!

This is my favorite of all of the Valentine cards I made this year. I used a Crumb Cake base, then stamped the sentiment from You Plus Me stamp set. I used VersaMark and Black Embossing Powder.

Next, I used my Real Red ink pad and a Sponge Dauber with the Hearts from the Hearts and Stars Decorative Mask for a background of hearts. Some are very red and some look more pink, depending on how many times I "daubed."

To finish up my card, I embellished using a piece of Stitched With Love Designer Washi Tape under the sentiment. I added three Basic Rhinestones in three sizes and one rosette snipped from the length in the Artisan Embellishment Kit. Now my special card is ready for a special person. It doesn't have to be a Valentine's Day card, either, which I also love about this card.

Thank you for looking. I hope you find LOVE today and every day! Please leave your comments below, I love to read them all!
