Tea Party Swap Card

Hi blog friends! Here is a card I made for a swap. Everyone participating makes cards, sends them to one person who is the organizer, and that person re-distributes the cards so everyone gets one of each. In this case, we each only made 6 cards and will get 5 in return. The hostess/organizer will get one of each. I am doing this with a group of demonstrators who are not going to Convention in a couple of weeks. Last year I went to my first convention, and it was fun, but it takes a big chunk of time and a big chunk of income. I may do it every other year--we'll see!

The very first thing I knew about this card, was the color scheme. We are each working with any color in the blue family. My card base is Soft Sky. My Top Note Die is Whisper White. Next is a Chalk Talk Framelits die cut tag cut from the Soft Sky print from the Subltes Designer Series Stack. A Soft Sky Seam Binding Ribbon bow was tied around one side of the tag.

I stamped the tea pot with flowers from the Tea Party stamp set onto Whisper White using VersaMark. I added Smoky Slate Embossing Powder and heat embossed it with my heat gun. I cut it out using another tag from Chalk Talk Framelits. I used my Aqua Painter dipped in some Pool Party ink to color the roses in the tea pot. (Soft Sky didn't show up as well). I adhered my tag using Stampin' Dimensionals and added a Candy Dot at the bottom.

I left the card without a sentiment so the recipient can use it for whatever they choose.

I hope you enjoyed looking. Won't you please leave a comment for me to read? I love to read them all!
