PPA208 Sketch For You

Another week, another Pals Paper Arts Challenge and time for you to stretch your abilities! Using the sketch above, create a card, scrapbook page or any paper project and upload it to our blog. Then you are "playing along" with our design team and other paper crafting friends on the internet! Check out the blog for more inspiration!

I began by choosing Island Indigo as my starting color. Next, I chose the Regals Paper Stack for my patterned paper. I needed an image that could be punched from a circle punch, so I chose to isolate one of the images from Apothecary Art. Next, I chose two more colors for my palette: Crumb Cake and Whisper White.

I wanted to make my vertical banner special, so I used an everyday banner shape in Whisper White and on top of that, I layered an Island Indigo Chalk Talk Framelit. It fits perfectly.

For the horizontal element across the top, plain card stock wouldn't work for me, and I already had two patterns going. So I opened my ribbon drawer, and there was a delicious roll of Crumb Cake 1-1/4" Striped Grosgrain ribbon. Perfect! My Whisper White matt is adhered using Stampin' Dimensionals so the ribbon would be accommodated without a wrinkle.

I hope you enjoyed looking and that you are inspired to join our challenge at Pals Paper Arts! Have a great day, but don't forget to leave a comment before you move on--I love reading them all!
