Eastern Elegance Get Well

I'm so sad that Eastern Elegance Designer Series Paper is retiring and I did not get full use of my package! I love the colors and the femininity of this beautiful paper, but I just didn't use it all up YET.

I needed a couple of Get Well cards, so I chose this Tea Party stamp set (also never-used!) and then replaced the sentiment on the image stamp with the sentiment from Teeny Tiny Wishes that I stamped onto a Bitty Banner.

At the very beginning of creating this card, I accidentally scored on the wrong line! So I just made up the difference on the right side of the card with a smaller strip. I decorated it with a piece of DSP that I had trimmed with the Scallop Border Punch. All is right with this accidental fold.

Having so much fun creating after so long, I leisurely stamped the teapot of flowers from Tea Party onto the inside panel for a little extra touch. I used Smoky Slate, Pistachio Pudding and Crushed Curry Stampin' Write Markers to color directly onto the rubber stamp. I like how the teapot looks like an antique silver pot.

One more close up of the "tag" I made. It's a Chalk Talk Framelit in Smoky Slate, layered with the two different stamped and die cut/paper-snipped images. I colored the flowers with Crushed Curry Stampin' Write Marker. The Crushed Curry lace border that I "pearled" is another image form the stamp set that I cut a bit shorter than it really is. The rich ribbon is the NEW Hello Honey In Color in 3/8" stitched satin, which is very close to the Crushed Curry color.

Gorgeous card Patti. Love the card layout. Your DSP choice is awesome. Isn't the new ribbon just scrumptious! Makes for perfect bows.
Great way to fix a boo boo and no one would know the difference. I love it!

Patti, I love how you used a "goof" to create an excellent embellishment. Really sets this card off as unusual. Loved the color combinations too.
