Happiest Birthday!

This is a card for a very special person who is having her 60th Birthday this month. Wow, time flies!! She has recently come to my Workshops and is learning how to make cards. She loves flowers (is a Master Gardener) and she became my very first sister-in-law 34 years ago.

Details: I used Watercolor paper for my Black Stazon stamped image from Apothecary Art. So Saffron ink was used for the sentiment. I used my Aqua Painter to watercolor the middle of the flowers and the leaves/stems in So Saffron and Pear Pizzazz. I decided I liked the flowers white, but I used some sparkle on the petals, which you cannot see in the photo :-(

I mounted the Labels Collection die cut image using Stampin' Dimensionals. Underneath it is a rectangle of Whisper White card stock that I texturized using Square Lattice EF. I matted it with Soft Sky card stock. I tied a piece of Soft Sky Seam Binding ribbon into a bow underneath the image. I adhered the rectangle to the Very Vanilla Card base that has a Soft Sky Designer Series (from the Subtles Stack) paper center. I had a thin rectangle of textured Very Vanilla left, which fit perfectly on the left side as a horizontal balance. The last element was a Jewelry Tag punch that reads "Wishes" from Fabulous Phrases. I tied it onto the bow using Linen Thread.

What do you think? I am in love with this card. I love how the images look when stamped onto our Watercolor paper and I enjoy watercoloring with Aqua Painters. It is so relaxing. Thanks for your comments.
