I'm trying a new feature. Once a month, I have a Workshop with a group of wonderful stamping friends. I will be putting one of the cards we make onto my blog on the actual date of the workshop, like today. If you have stamping friends like I do, perhaps you can use the ideas to gather your friends together and make a card!
This particular card involves a technique. I love how this turned out. I was trying to imitate the Watercolor Wonder Designer Note Cards that are in the Occasions catalog. The feel of the paper with a layer of ink on it is wonderful.
I took a Whisper White card base, cut out an oval shape and adhered it with Dotto to the center of the card front. I sponged around the oval shape using Sponge Daubers and Summer Starfruit, Pistachio Pudding and Crisp Cantaloupe inks. The ink dries quickly. I wanted to add the black for a frame and then I also stamped my sentiment from Trust God in Basic Black. You could also White Emboss onto Basic Black for the chalkboard look.
I added stamped and punched Petite Petals in Summer Starfruit and Crisp Cantaloupe. The leaves are cut from Pistachio Pudding card stock using the Petite Petals punch.
I really hope you are inspired today! Come back tomorrow for my Pals Paper Arts Challenge card!

Lovely card Patti. The sponging is a really neat looking effect. I will miss the Watercolor Wonder when it's gone so I will keep this technique in mind. Thanks so much for sharing with us!
