Today's card is for a friend who loves to make cards. She makes cards for all kinds of organizations to give out. I know her because she makes cards for Moms of Military to send to their loved ones and I am a military mom. She spends a lot of time on the cards and puts a lot of love into them. Right now she is ill and hospitalized. A group of us that she scrapbooks with are all praying for her and we are showering her with cards to help bring a smile to her face as she hopefully comes home this week.
On the top of the card, I used the Blessings From Heaven stamp set for this sentiment. The stamp was inked in Melon Mambo and stamped onto Whisper White. I punched it out using the Large Oval punch. I framed it with a Tempting Turquoise Scallop Oval and added Basic Pearls all around. The flowers on each side were punched from Daffodil Delight and Melon Mambo using the Boho Blossoms punch. I crumpled each flower up over and over until the fibers broke down and then peeled the layers apart. You get a very suede-like feeling bloom. These were layered together and accented with a Basic Pearl.
If you can't tell, I LOVE the Banner Punch and Banner Blast stamp set that you can earn with Sale-A-Bration (beginning January 28th). It is SO cute and you can make all kinds of banners with it.
Here I used the stamp set to make my banners match the Quatrefancy Specialty Designer Series Paper print. Then I used the little flower stamp with my color scheme (prompted by my Color Coach) for this cheer-filled card. Each bloom was punched out with the flower from Itty Bitty Shapes punch set. A Basic Pearl is each flower's center. The banners are mounted on a Stitched Grosgrain ribbon in Daffodil Delight.

Wow...this card has so much going on..but I LOVE it. Fun to hear sneak peeks of what we can earn during SAB. I am waiting, not so patiently, to see all the goodies.
