Holiday Catalog Fall Card #4

Last in my Fall card series, I had a very hard time engineering this Easel Card! I had FOUR failed attempts!! I started out trying to make it square and that just didn't add up! I did not have a very clear tutorial, so I just had to keep on trying until I got it right. I will post some measurements and scoring lines below. Hopefully if you try and follow me, you won't be led astray!

Decorating the front of an Easel Card is not hard! Basically you have a 5-1/2" x 4-1/4" piece of card stock to decorate. It is later adhered to the folded part that makes it an easel.

My base is Whisper White. Next layer is a Chocolate Chip print from the Sweater Weather Designer Series Paper. I've shown you more than a few prints from this DSP and there are MORE. I love them ALL, so it was hard to choose which ones to use.

The large element on my card began with a Soft Sky piece of card stock, which I cut using the Big Shot and the Apothecary Accents Framelit. I paper-pierced the edges perfectly by using the Paper-Piercing tool, Stampin' Pierce mat and the Essentials Paper-Piercing Pack.

I added a piece of Soft Suede Taffeta ribbon tied with Early Espresso Baker's twin horizontally across the die cut.

I stamped the image from Harvest of Thanks using Chocolate Chip ink onto another print from Sweater Weather. (LOVE how this looks, if you can't tell). I adhered the stamped image over the ribbon on the Soft Sky piece.

The last part was decorating the front piece that would show when the easel is propped up. The line of Soft Sky Candy Dots keeps the easel up. Then I matted a plaid from Sweater Weather with Chocolate Chip card stock for the "porch" of my card. I hope you enjoy looking and that you are inspired to try your own Easel Card!

Card front is one piece of card stock 4-1/4" x 5-1/2". Decorate it. Adhere it onto a piece of 11" x 4-1/4" card stock that has been scored at 5-1/2" and 8-1/4".
