Clearance Rack and Fun Shape for Baby Kate

New items added to the Clearance Rack!  Click Here to check them out!

Don't you just *LOVE* when a baby is born? I learned that a friend of my son's welcomed Baby Kate into his family last week. I wanted to make this fun shape, called a "twisted card", so I got right onto it! I will give the basic instructions at the end of this post, but I warn you, I have no instructions for adding the printed designer paper- I just DID IT. Also, the card does NOT fit into a standard A2 envelope, so I used my Diagonal Plate for the Simply Scored Scoring Tool to create a custom, printed envelope.

As you can see, there is a pocket on the front if you should want to tuck a gift card or some other fun things inside. I decorated the edge with some pom pom trim from the fabric store.

On the inside, I stamped a sentiment and I will write on the larger back piece.

This is the back of the card.

Here is a close up of the sweet heart that I embellished with pearls. So girly!
Thanks for looking--I'd love to read your comments!

Basic Instructions for the Twisted Card:
Score a 4-1/2 by 11" piece of card stock directly down the middle from one corner to the other corner. I used my Diagonal Plate for the Simply Scored Scoring Tool.

Fold the card stock on the scored line. Keep it folded and score vertically in half. Fold. Use a Bone Folder to really crease the lines.

Decorate as desired.
