Welcome to the Pals Paper Arts 127 Challenge--Sketch. Margaret Moody is our sketch artist and she has been providing our sketches faithfully for a couple of years!
This sketch was particularly "challenging" for me (haha) because I only have a Large Oval punch, which looks too small for this sketch, or the Oval Scallop Frame die, which is too large! What to do? (okay, besides place an order for the Ovals Die!)
I was truly CHALLENGED!! I began my project with a medium-sized FRAMELIT Label, which I used to cut out the Real Red balloon from a sheet of "Big Top Birthday" designer series paper. Perfect! I stamped my sentiment from On Your Birthday right onto the balloon using my Stamp-a-ma-jig for perfect placement using Basic Black ink. Next to the balloon is my sentiment (also from On Your Birthday) stamped in Tempting Turquoise onto Whisper White card stock, then punched out using the 1" Square punch and matted with Real Red card stock. I wrote the "8" myself using my Tempting Turquoise Stampin' Write Marker for a perfect match. The "8" makes my sentiment rhyme!! (My niece turns 8 in the Fall--I'm ahead of the game here!)
The last touch I came up with was this bevy of bouncing "balls" punched from another sheet of Big Top Birthday designer series paper using my 1" Circle punch. You can see the punch captured a bit of the Tempting Turquoise background of the paper, so I didn't have to matt them. I lined them up on the 1" x 3-7/8" piece of Whisper White card stock, adhered them using Stampin' Dimensionals and then matted the Whisper White piece with a 1-1/8" x 4" piece of Real Red card stock.

I love all the bright colors and using the Label Framelit to cut the DSP balloon, ingenious! I'll be giving that a try. Your niece will love it!
