I took one of those battery-operated candles, wrapped it and topped it and decorated it for a birthday gift! I used retired Shades of Spring designer paper. I used Bitty Buttons and punched out flowers with the Bitty Buttons punch. I used Basic pearls to accentuate the paper. I used Tiny Tags and the Medium Jewelry Punch to make the tag. I hung the tag using Linen Thread. I cut the leaves out of the designer paper. There were some paisley shapes that when turned around, look a bit like leaves.
This is a photo of the candle lit up.
For the "cake" plate, I used a Scallop punch out of Pretty In Pink. I placed the candle on it and pressed on it to imprint where I could use my punches to accommodate the tiny "feet" and the on/off switch.
I am so excited to give away more paper! Please leave one comment on today's post before midnight PST, and I will pick one random winner the old fashioned way: slips of paper folded with each name. I will post the winner's name on Tuesday, March 8th. The winner will have until Wednesday, March 7th to email me with their home address.
If you want, you can put your email address into your comment and it will make it easier for me to contact you. Good luck to everyone who leaves a comment.
