Hi Everyone!

I'm so excited to have cleaned out my Designer Series Papers! This is last year's Valentine paper that I tried and tried to use up, but no matter how many Valentines I made, I still ended up with plenty of leftovers.

I would love to send this off to one (U.S. only) person who leaves a comment on my today's project between Monday, 2/21 and Wednesday 2/23. I will choose a winner using Random.org on Wednesday morning and post later that day. The winner needs to email me with their mailing address by Friday, 2/25.

Here is today's project. My niece had a birthday party (she's 4!) and I needed a package topper. I decided to make Shelli's pin and use the Springtime Vintage Designer Fabric from the Occasions Mini. It is very nice fabric to work with and the small patterns were perfect for this size flower dies. I cut the fabric from the Bigz Flower Folds die, using the two smallest sized flowers.

I pinned folded each of four pieces of fabric in half, then "weaved" them together and pinned them. I used a needle and thread to hand sew them together, but you could machine stitch them or probably glue them using a glue gun.

This is what it looked like before I added the pin back with a glue gun. I used the glue gun to glue on the retired felt flower in the middle. You could also use a button and some rhinestones.

Here is how the pin looked on the package. I used one of the Mini Vintage Tags to write my niece's name with a Stampin' Write marker. One of the little girls at the party was loving this package and picked it up to ask who brought it! She said, "I love this flower!" :-)
