Build A Blossom Part 2

Here is my second attempt with the Build a Blossom stamp set and the Blossom Petals Punch. You may be tired of seeing these two items from me, but I aim to show you my progress and encourage you to use this stamp set, too! I have already heard from others who bought this, but hadn't tried it yet. I think it's a bit inimidating!

This time, I used the same petals and leaves, but I tried a different technique when stamping the petals. I stamped first in a lighter color, Pretty In Pink, then stamped over it (NOT trying to be perfect) in Rose Red. This is more life-like, I think. Real petals are sometimes variegated, or the edges are darker or lighter depending on variety.

Also, I think it does look better with a ODD number of petals. What do you think? What hints do you have if you are already a pro with this set and the punch?

Next time, I hope to share something other than a traditional-looking flower, so stay-tuned!

Hi, Patti! I was having a little trouble working with my build a blossom set w/punch and saw another blog where she was doing pretty well. I emailed her and she replied with some great suggestions. Would you like my to forward it to you? Just send me your email address and I'll be glad to send the info along.

Looks great Patti - yes to the odd number of petals! And that scruunchy ribbon sets off the flower perfectly!

Very pretty Patti - I can't WAIT to play with this set - we are being BLASTED once again with snow and ice and I just hope my goodies won't be delayed!!!!!!! Suggestion, maybe, cause I don't have the set... add a little dimension to the top layers maybe by 'curling' or a dimensional?!
