This week's Pals Paper Arts challenge is a Color Challenge and our special Celebrity participant is none other than Beate Johns! If you don't know Beate has inspired many of us with her fun projects excellent video and photo tutorials on Splitcoast Stampers. You can see her work on our Pals Paper Arts Website. Check it out and play along! This week everyone who submits a new creation and uploads a direct link to their project will be eligible to win Blog Candy!
The striped block on my card was created by cutting the striped pattern into 1/2" strips, and then laying them across the matte just "off" of each other to alternate the pattern. A fun and easy effect.
Here is what I used to make my 50th Birthday card:
Card Stock: Tempting Turquoise, So Saffron, Old Olive, Very Vanilla
Designer Series Paper: Play Date
Stamps: Perfect Punches
Ink: Tempting Turquoise
Accessories: Star punch, basic clear rhinestones
(all products Stampin' Up!)

Delightful card! Love the result with the offset strips of striped dp!
Beautiful job, Patti. It reminds me of Borgello, a technique I've been wanting to try. So you are inspiring me to give it a shot! Nice balance of the challenge colors!
