Play at Pals Paper Arts!

I was stumped for awhile, but once I figured out what I was going to make for "Anything But a Card" challenge at PPA, I went right to work. I used this tutorial (photo and video) from Beate Johns for my triangle treat box (there are Hershey Kisses inside).

First I rolled my Jumbo Haunting Hill Wheel using Basic Black ink onto Whisper White card stock and colored in some of the images using Stampin' Write Markers. I cut it down to 4" x 8" and scored it at 4". Then, I made a mark at the 2" line on each short end. I scored from this mark to my 4" scored on all four sides. I folded it up, punched a 1/4" circle on each double-fold and voila! Before I tied it shut with the striped grosgrain ribbon, I added the candies.

To finish my treat box, I stamped the sentiment from Grateful Greetings in Craft White ink onto Basic Black cardstock. I used clear embossing powder to give it some dimension. I added the cheery jack-o-lantern from Trick or Treat (retired) in Only Orange on Yoyo Yellow card stock. I popped this cute up on dimensionals.

For the CUTE pumpkin, I cut Scalloped Ovals out of Pumpkin Pie card stock, folding each one until I had enough for a full pumpkin. I used sticky tape to tape each one together. When you tape the last two together, you will see that you have a "hole" in the middle. I took rectangle piece of Chocolate Chip card stock slightly taller than the pumpkin and rolled it up. Then I glued it into the center of the pumpkin. I added an Always Artichoke leaf from the Birds and Blooms die.  Finished! You could use any size oval punch or die to create your pumpkin.
