Celebrating New Life

My friend just told me that she is pregnant and due in March! How exciting. After much prayer, she feels God's blessing in this new life. I sat right down and made her a card with my new Hostess Level I set "Love Bug." I can see that this will be a versatile set thinking all the way ahead to Valentine's Day! I started with a Bermuda Bay base, added a Texturz Dots piece of Whisper White run through my Big Shot. Before I ran it through, though I wiped it with my Green Galore ink pad for some color around the embossed dots. Fun! I colored the little bug using my blender pens and Blush Blossom, Green Galore and Apricot Appeal ink puddles. I cut the bug out using my Heart Punch, then used my Nestabilities circle die cut with textured Bermuda Bay to surround the heart. This is popped up with Stampin' Dimensionals. My last touch was the Bermuda Bay grossgrain ribbon. I cut two snippets, tied the knot, then cut a flat edge on each side and tacked it down with tacky tape. Voila! My sentiment is from the Congrats stamp set.

Ingredients:
Cardstock: Bermuda Bay, Blush Blossom, Whisper White, Green Galore
Stamps: Love Bug, Congrats
Ink: Bermuda Bay, Basic Black, (Green Galore, Apricot Appeal, Blush Blossom for watercoloring)

I love that technique where you ran your ink pad over the impression plate! So cool, I have to try that!
