Beautiful Birds

I love using scraps that are in a little box or basket around my work space. Here I combined them with a few snippets of beloved retired designer series paper. Those birdies create the centerpiece and are cropped out of the patterned piece using the Stitched So Sweetly dies. A sweet card to uplift and encourage someone I know.

Fun Fold Forever Greenery

Today's project has a fun fold. I'm not sure of the name of the fold, but it's different than I usually do. The card is secured with a belly band and it stands up if you don't secure the belly band too tightly around the folded card.

I used my Forever Greenery Designer Series Paper, some floral scraps from my work space and the sentiment from Free As A Bird stamp set. The tags are cut using the Ornate Frames Dies and the Stitched So Sweetly Dies.

Plenty of room inside for writing or stamping. I ended up adding a strip of designer paper to the left front side.

Directions for Fun Fold Card:

Card Base: 11" x 5-1/2". Score at 1-3/4", 5-1/2", 9-3/4" on Long Side

Designer Series Paper: cut 1 each: 3-1/2" x 5-1/4"

                                 1-1/2" x 5-1/4"

                                 1" x 5-1/4"

Belly Band: card stock 1-1/2" x 11" and 1/2" x 11"

Happy Christmas Bird

Happy Wednesday! I hope you are having a wonderful week. This little bird is from the Free As A Bird stamp set. I've borrowed him from this Spring-like set to be the focus of my Happy Christmas card. The sentiment is from the Itty Bitty Christmas stamp set. Isn't he sweet? I added some white branches, which were "painted" with Shimmery Crystal Effects and then sprinkled with Ice Stampin' Glitter. The bird is stepping around a puddle of Snowfall Accents Puff Paint.

Bird Ballad SWEET!

Long time since I posted! Sorry about that, but it's summer and I have a lot going on, plus my daughter and grandkids were staying with us for two lovely weeks, so I did not stamp or even go much into my studio! 

To help me get back into my groove, I chose to make a class project that I purchased from Erica Cerwin at Pink Buckaroo. I love her classes because she does all the designing! All you have to do is make the cards. 

This hexagon gift box is so cute! Now that I have fully played with the Free As a Bird stamp set and those lovely Stitched Nested Labels dies, I'm in LOVE with those cute birdies. 

The birds are so beautiful whether you cut them from the Bird Ballad Designer Series paper, or you stamp them and use your Stampin' Blends to color them. They are so cute and I love how they look at each other!
