PPA92 Celebrity Color Challenge

Welcome to this week's Pals Paper Arts Challenge. We are having a celebrity Color challenge, which means we have a celebrity guest! She is Colleen Dietrich, of Dietrich Designs. Take some time to visit her blog and enjoy her creations.

I was perplexed as where to start on this challenge, since the colors are all so different. Then I looked through my Designer Series papers and I found Sunny Garden has exactly these colors as one of it's designs! Yay for me!

Next, I knew I wanted to make a Mother's Day card, since I had many to get out this week. I like to celebrate all of the great moms I know, since I can no longer send my own mom a card.

If you are a mom, I hope you have a perfect day this year. If you have a mom, don't forget to send her a greeting or call her and let her know you are thinking of her. She probably did a lot for you through your life, and maybe she still is doing a lot for you! Moms appreciate the thoughts more than gifts.

One of my most precious "gifts" was from my middle son when he was in high school. One of his teachers made each student write a letter to their moms. I still have mine hanging in my closet! It was so honest and very thoughtful and full of thanks. When you have a teenager, they often don't appreciate what you do as a mom, so this was extra special! I still smile when I read it :-)

So sweet! Love how you used the tulips as a base! And I adore the simple flower behind the sentiment!
I have some notes from my son as well - my favorite one from 1st grade says "I love my mom. She has gray hair and talks on the phone." Yep - sounds like a great mom to me :)

Hi Patti! THank you for having me as your PPA Guest Designer this week. It was fun, and challenging! I rarely use bright colors, and these threw me for a loop. Once I got the card made though, I really liked the combo together. :) I like the texture combinations you've used on your card. And how lucky that you had DP with those same colors in it!
