Welcome to the Pals Paper Arts Challenge #47! I can't believe we have had that number of challenges. It doesn't seem that it's been that long since it's inception! Come play with us and upload your creation using the theme SUMMER! How fun and open is that?
I had a completely different idea for a card when I sat down to make this one! The only thing the same about my original idea and this card is one *NEW* color: Daffodil Delight! You are seeing a sneak preview of this new Brights Collection color, as well as the new Neutral Collection color, Early Espresso.
I began my card with Very Vanilla card stock.
I cut out Little Leaves (Sizzlit Die) in Garden Green and gave them sunflowers that are punched in a Scallop Circle after I textured them using the *new* (Summer Mini) Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder. I popped up some Early Espresso 1" circles for their centers using Stampin' Dimensionals.
Notice how I took three different sections of the Vintage Wallpaper embossing or debossing for my centers? The pattern is so versatile that way. I can tell that I will be using this folder at Christmas time--see the center flower.
Lastly, I tied bows using the *new* (preview from the 2010/2011 Idea Book and Catalog-out July 1st) 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon in Early Espresso.
I think that the flowers are so happy that I could use this card for any occasion, and I will probably add a sentiment later.
Happy Summer! Please leave your comments, I really enjoy reading all of them.
