This is Emeril Lagasse asking my daughter (on the right) to assist him with a demonstration he is doing in Hawai'i next month! (She is moving back there). She just graduated from The Culinary Institute of America Friday. He was their guest speaker and now an honorary ambassador for the CIA. He gave a calm and heartfelt speech to the graduates and never once said "BAM!" I really enjoyed the whole graduation, especially where our daughter received the Angell Academic Achievement award for the highest grade point average and when she received the Management Award!
Our daughter and I are on a cross-country trip back home and loving every minute so far! I may post other photos from our trip along the way if I'm not too tired of driving!
One of the other fun parts of the graduation were these paper items, of course. The toque (chef's 'hat') that the graduates wore (and some tossed in the air!) and this chef's jacket for the graudation program! I appreciated those greatly, being away from all of my paper supplies!
