If you like to make Christmas cards by hand like I do, you should start thinking about your cards now! It takes awhile to decide on a stamp set, layout and then more time to execute your design. I love gathering "ingredients" and then going to work on the design. I had these Santa stamped images laying around and I put them to quick use with a Sketch Challenge from Splitcoast Stampers. Their sketch had the three elements along the bottom half of the card all set to the left, so an asymetrical design, but I'm not so asymetrical, so I spaced them evenly. No worries, the sketch is only a starting place.
I began my card by scoring the Real Red cardstock so it would really pop out the slanted lines of the Merry Moments Designer Series stripe. I used another Christmas Punch stamp to stamp some snowflakes, which are perfectly cut out using the Boho Blossoms Punch and then set up on dimensionals. I didn't like the blank space above the flakes, so I added a sentiment from the Small Script stamp set and punched it out with the Modern Label Punch and popped it up on dimensionals.
This card was done in 10 minutes because I had the squares laying around from another project. Keep your scraps, they can be instrumental in getting a card finished pronto!

Christmas in July never looked better!
Well, you know I love this card, but I was wondering, "How did she punch all the snowflakes out? Boho Blossoms is one of about 3 punches I do NOT own, so imagine my surprise when I realized THAT was the punch that matched those snowflakes! Guess I need to add that to my next order! Awesome card!!!
